The 5-Step Process

Our collaborative 5-step process guides you from concept to finishing touches.

1. Discovery & Pre-Design

We start by meeting with you to understand your goals, style, and priorities. This stage includes site survey and documentation, programming (space planning, needs analysis, and budget alignment), and early coordination with consultants and a pre-selected general contractor. Together, we establish a strong foundation for the project.

2. Schematic Design

Next, we explore initial design concepts. You’ll receive multiple layout and style options supported by sketches, floor plans, and elevations. We also introduce material and color palettes. After your review, one direction is refined into a cohesive concept that sets the tone for the project.

3. Design Development

In this phase, the chosen design is taken to the next level of detail. We refine layouts, cabinetry, finishes, fixtures, and lighting plans. Preliminary construction drawings are created, and we coordinate with consultants to ensure every detail aligns with your goals and budget.

4. Construction Documents & Approvals

We prepare the full bid set and technical drawings that contractors use to price and build your project. This includes elevations, details, and specifications. If needed, we also assist with permitting and contractor selection to ensure everything is construction-ready.

5. Construction Observation & Finishing Touches

During construction, we remain involved to review progress, answer contractor questions, and resolve design-related issues. We provide site visits, shop drawing reviews, and punch list coordination, ensuring your vision is fully realized down to the finishing touches.
